The Saas valley is known for its Hoehenwegs (high routes). The Gspon Hoehenweg is a splendid walk starting from its namesake village, high above the beginning of the valley, to Kreuzboden, above Saas Grund. The views include that of pyramidal Bieschhorn in Bernese Oberland, imposing Balfrin massif on the other side of the valley, and of the glacial amphitheatre above Saas Fee.
